The Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) officially announced the results of the selection for recipients of the 2024 Al-Azhar University Scholarship in Egypt. A total of 30 participants who took the selection through the PBNU pathway were declared to have passed and were entitled to continue their studies at the leading university. The participants who passed consisted of 23 prospective students who will take religious majors (adabi) and 7 students who will study in general majors (ilmi).

In addition, there are also 10 reserve names prepared in case there are changes to the selected candidates. Participants who pass are required to immediately complete the administrative filing before the deadline on September 30, 2024. The files that need to be prepared include passports, birth certificates, diplomas, SKCK, health certificates, and passport photos.

This announcement was signed by the General Chairperson of PBNU, KH. Yahya Cholil Staquf, and Secretary General Drs. H. Saifullah Yusuf. PBNU hopes that all participants who pass can study well at Al-Azhar University, Egypt and become NU ambassadors who contribute to the people and nation in the future.
