The 2024 PBNU - AL-AZHAR Scholarship Selection is officially open, there are 30 scholarship quotas available for students from Indonesia through the PBNU route. This scholarship is a full funding scholarship for undergraduate (S1) education at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, both for religious science majors (Adabi) or non-religious science majors ('Ilmi - such as medicine, psychology, engineering, etc.). This scholarship is provided in collaboration with Al-Azhar and PBNU. The implementation of the 2024 PBNU - AL-Azhar Scholarship Selection is under the command of NU Scholarship in collaboration with RMI PBNU and IKANU Egypt. This scholarship selection series starts from July 1 2024 as a socialization period, followed by a registration period on July 5 - 8 2024.

Selection will be divided into three stages: administrative selection, written selection stage, and interview selection stage. All steps from registration to selection will be carried out online and free of charge.

Several criteria are the conditions for registering for this scholarship selection:

?Registration is carried out by the Islamic boarding school.

?Diploma from Madrasah Diniyah Ulya/Madrasah Aliyah/Formal Early Education/Graduation certificate. The maximum age of the diploma is 3 years (2022).

?Aged 18 - 25 years.

?Sign a statement of willingness to serve NU (Format can be downloaded at the registration link).

?Willing to follow the selection stages and all applicable provisions.

This year's PBNU - AL-AZHAR scholarship selection stages can be read in the flyer which has been officially distributed on various PBNU social media, NUScholarship, RMI PBNU, and also IKANU Egypt. The first stage of selection period, administrative selection, will take place on 8 - 12 July 2024, and the results will be announced on 13 July 2024. Participants who are declared to have passed the administrative selection stage, will be allowed to take part in the next stage: written selection which will be carried out online on July 16 2024. The procedures for implementing the online written selection will be announced and explained further. For participants who are declared to have passed the written selection stage, they will take part in the third stage, namely an interview on July 21 2024. The names of the 30 scholarship recipients will be announced on July 23 2024.
