The Chinese Nahdlatul Ulama Special Branch (PCINU) administrators have started a seminar roadshow agenda about Indonesian Islamic students in China. This event, which was held during the month of Ramadan, was first held at the Darul Amanah Sukorejo Islamic Boarding School, Kendal, Central Java, Friday (8/3/2024).
In this series of roadshows, PCINU China conveyed a number of information regarding study opportunities, scholarships and other opportunities in China for students or the Indonesian community.
Apart from that, PCINU also provides an overview of the life, experiences of santri and Islam in China, as well as participating in supporting and strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and China at the community level.
Rais Syuriyah PCINU China, Ahmad Syaifuddin Zuhri, revealed that there are 6 locations that will host seminars from PCINU China during Ramdhan. After the agenda at the Darul Amanah Sukorejo Kendal Islamic Boarding School, the next agenda was to the Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Pontianak Campus, West Kalimantan on Saturday (16/3/2024), Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and UIN Ar Raniry, Banda Aceh on Tuesday (19 /3/2024), UNU Mataram, NTB on Saturday (23/3/2024) and finally in the city of Indramayu Cirebon, West Java on Saturday (30/3/2024).
Zuhri hopes that Indonesian students can take the opportunity to continue their studies in China, especially in the fields of science and technology. What is currently popular in China is advanced in terms of engineering and IT. There are no scholarships there "There are further ties. This means that once we graduate, we are advised to go home and contribute to our own country," explained Zuhri in his statement, Friday (8/3/2024).
He also conveyed information about Muslim worship activities there. He said that da'wah in China places more emphasis on the creativity of preachers' behavior at large or what is known as the bil hal method of da'wah. "In China, da'wah activities prioritize the creative ability of preachers' behavior broadly or what is known as action, approach or real deeds with daily behavior," said Zuhri.
